Additional Information | The CBC Stamp Club was started by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to engage young radio listeners in the 1950s. Stamp collecting was very popular at the time. To become a member, children sent in a letter with ten cents. They would receive this button, 50 different stamps, and a copy of the book CBC Stamp Club: How to Start a Stamp Collection by Douglas Patrick. CBC, established in 1936, is the oldest existing broadcast corporation in Canada. |
