Celtic Woman in Australia!

In 2009-2011, Celtic Woman did a tour for their sixth album, Songs from the Heart. The tour initially consisted of a North American run, which was extended into the summer due to overwhelming popular demand and added visits to Canada and Australia in 2010. The fan community at the Celtic Woman Forum created buttons to celebrate the group’s first tour to Australia.

Celtic Woman was formed in 2004 by established singers Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly. Méav Ní Mhaolchatha and fiddler Máiréad Nesbit completing the line-up. The group gave their first live performance at the Helix theatre in Dublin in 2004, organized by PBS. The group’s first album featured readings of a range of traditional and contemporary Irish ballads, which became a major commercial success in the USA.
