Additional Information | Cruver Manufacuting Company was a celluloid-based manufacturer founded in 1902 responsible for inventing novelty items and various patents. It is best known for developing decorated compacts, medallions, and advertising buttons. Additionally, Cruver was involved with the United States Military in developing celluloid sextants during World War II, and designed other measurement tools that were both compact and functional. This 23-year perpetual calendar object (with dates spanning 1923-1946) was designed as a sales sample, and featured the condensed quality of Cruver compacts combined with the detailed measurement qualities the company was also known for. |
