Additional Information | The Chicago Cubs did not make it to the World Series in 1967, let alone win it. That honor went to the St. Louis Cardinals. Though the Cubs did hold the top spot from July 2nd, 1967 to July 25th, they were not able to hold on to their lead, losing to the Cardinals 4-3 on the 25th and falling into 2nd place. After that loss, the Cubs were not able to rally and ended the season in 3rd place in the National League, standing with 87 wins and 74 losses.
