MADE IN U.S.A.
On October 3, 1983 the hit English rock band Genesis released its twelfth studio album also named ‘Genesis’. The album sold over 4 million copies in the U.S. and U.K. and went on to earn a Grammy in 1985. ‘Genesis’ went platinum only eight weeks after release and reached double platinum in October 1987 after selling 600,000 copies. The simplistic cover art was used extensively to market and promote the new release. This album is regarded by many critics as the juncture when Genesis fully transitioned into a pop band.
