The movie Ghostbusters is a supernatural comedy that was released in 1984. It was written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis who also starred in the movie along with Bill Murray. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards and was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry. The media franchise included a sequel to the movie, two animated series, video games, and a reboot of the film in 2016.
