| Additional Information | Ghostbusters II is a 1989 supernatural comedy film starring Dan Ackroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver, and Rick Moranis. It is the sequel to the 1984 film Ghostbusters, which depicts the four-man Ghostbusters team as they investigate paranormal activity and battle malevolent supernatural forces. Initially, Ghostbusters writers Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis and director Ivan Reitman were not interested in making a sequel, but they relented after studio pressure and Ghostbusters II went on to be one of the most successful films of the year. The second film finds the Ghostbusters teaming up again to investigate a river of ectoplasmic slime that is flowing beneath New York City. |
