Additional Information | This photo of Charlotte Caffey, guitarist and songwriter for The Go-Go's, was adapted from the cover of their debut album, "Beauty and the Beat," in 1981. It featured hit singles like "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed." In 1978, the Go-Go's were one of the first female bands to write, produce, and play their own songs, which were a mix of pop, punk, and rock. Charlotte Caffey wrote "We Got the Beat", which went to no. 1, and still tours with The Go-Go's today. |
