Hall County, Nebraska celebrated its 75th anniversary in July 1932. The local whisker club, which was founded earlier that same year in order to promote the anniversary, celebrated with a whisker contest--in other words, a contest for best facial hair. Out of over 2,100 club members, seven winners and twenty-one honorable mentions were chosen.
