Additional Information | Fast food hamburger chain Burger King was founded in 1954 by James McLamore and David Edgerton. The company has changed ownership several times starting in 1967, when Burger King was acquired by Pillsbury. In 2014, Burger King merged with Tim Hortons, the Canadian doughnut and fast-food chain, which led to the creation of the Restaurant Brands International parent company. The Whopper is BK’s signature food product, but the combo meals are well known. Combos, or combination meals, include a sandwich or main dish, a side, and a drink. The King Combo specifically featured 4 burgers of your choice, 9 chicken nuggets, 9 onion rings, 2 different dipping sauces, 4 orders of regular fries, and a 1.5-liter soft drink. Customers selected from the following menu options: Black Angus, Steakhouse, Double Whopper, Tender Crisp Chicken, Crispy Chicken, Big King, Whopper, Whopper with Cheese, Grilled Chicken, or Chicken Royale. Burger King is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world, with headquarters located in Miami, Florida. The company's main competitor, McDonald’s, is the largest fast food hamburger chain worldwide. |
