| Additional Information | King Dude is a dark neo-folk side project from artist and musician, TJ Cowgill. Cowgill began his career fronting for the Satanic death metal band, Book of Black Earth. King Dude was created when Cowgill found himself creating music in the folk traditions. Cowgill pulled inspiration from biblical sound and the isolation of the days of revelation. King Dude released their work on Avant!, Bathetic, Clan Destine and Van Records. Cowgill went on to create his own record label, Not Just Religious Music, in order to retain control over his music. Under Cowgill’s label, King Dude released two LP’s, Fear in 2004 and Song of Flesh & Blood – In The Key of Light in 2005. King Dude released the album, Love, in 2011, which featured cover art by Mabuse Ind. and TJ Cowgill, consisting of songs with themes of love, death, redemption, drawing inspiration from Woody Guthrie and Johnny Cash. |
