Additional Information | Marineland was an oceanarium and tourist attraction that operated on the Palos Verdes Peninsula coast of Los Angeles County from 1954 to 1987. From 1978 to 1981 it was owned by Taft Broadcasting, owners of the Hanna-Barbera animation studio, who rebranded the park “Hanna-Barbera’s Marineland” and used many of the studio’s famous cartoon characters. This design features character Jabberjaw, a cartoon shark who was featured on a popular Saturday morning cartoon show in the late 1970’s. |
