Additional Information

"May the force be with you," is a line from the Star Wars movie franchise. George Lucas released the first film of the series in 1977 launching a phenomenon in pop-culture. Star Wars is currently the fifth-highest-grossing media franchise of all time. The movies have inspired merchandise, comic books, television shows, novels, and more. This phrase was used to wish an individual or group good luck or safe travels in the fictional universe and has become a commonplace saying in language as well. Jediism is a religion based on the warrior monk-like principles of the jedi in the Star Wars movies. Those who practice Jediism use this phrase as a farewell greeting and/or a benediction.
