| Additional Information | Raggedy Ann was created by cartoonist and illustrator Johnny Gruelle (1880 – 1938). The rag doll was first introduced in Raggedy Ann Stories, published in 1918. The 1920 sequel, Raggedy Andy Stories, introduced Raggedy Ann’s brother, Andy. Gruelle wrote and illustrated over 40 books featuring Raggedy Ann and Andy. |
