| Additional Information | Northeast High School was founded in 1890 as an all-boys school originally called Northeast Manual Training School. In 1954, the school moved locations and became co-ed. The school has over 3,000 students and sixteen different sports in which students may participate including: cross country, soccer, tennis, football, golf, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, swimming, bowling, track, cheer, badminton, baseball, lacrosse, and softball. All sports teams are known as the “Vikings.” Many famous people graduated from Northeast High School, including football players Herb Adderley, Brent Grimes, Charles Way, Steve Smith, major league baseball player Eddie Stanky, hall of fame basketball player Guy Rodgers, and WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak. |
