Additional Information | Lyndon B. Johnson, also known as LBJ, was the Democratic party nominee for the 1964 United States Presidential election. Johnson was the incumbent nominee, having succeeded the position as President after the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963. This anti-Johnson slogan was a play on words of a pro-Johnson slogan which read "All the way with LBJ." Johnson would handily win the bid for President, defeating the Republican nominee, Barry Goldwater, by a margin of 61%. |
