Additional Information | Gerald Ford served as the 38th President of the United States from 1974 to 1977, following President Richard Nixon's resignation from office. He is the only person to serve as both the Vice President and President without wining the Electoral College vote. He ran again as the Republican Party nominee in the 1976 U.S. Presidential election against Democratic nominee Jimmy Carter. Carter would go on to win the election. |
