Rachel Sweet is an American singer and actress whose career began at age six. By age twelve, she was opening for Bill Cosby in Las Vegas. Throughout the 70's and 80's she released four records before stepping away from show business to earn a degree from Columbia University in French and English literature. Shortly after, she recorded songs for John Waters' ​Cry-Baby and Hairspray as well as the theme song for Clarissa Explains it All.
