Additional Information | Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is the finale of the original trilogy. Return of the Jedi was released in 1983 and served to finish the trilogies story of Luke Skywalker and his friends rebellion against the evil Galactic Empire. Prior to its release, the film was originally titled as Revenge of the Jedi. Teaser trailers and posters bearing this name were used to promote the film just weeks prior to the release. However, series creator, George Lucas, decided that the title wasn't appropriate because the Jedi culture did not support seeking out revenge. Thus, the title was changed to what it had originally been envisioned as. This is one of a series of buttons made to promote the release of the film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. |
