Additional Information | Snoopy is Charlie Brown's pet dog in the Peanuts comics by Charles M. Schulz. Though Snoopy's character was introduced in 1950, it was not until 1956 that the dog was illustrated as walking on its hind legs. Baseball was a recurrent theme in the Peanuts comics, and Snoopy was a member of the neighborhood team along with Charlie Brown, Schroeder, Shermy, Linus, Pig-Pen, Lucy, Patty, Frieda, and Violet. Snoopy typically played short-stop. |
