| Additional Information | Southold, New York is a town founded in 1640 by Puritans relocating from the New Haven colony. In 1915, the town celebrated its 275th anniversary with a week of activities to commemorate the community and its founding. Events of the week included a carnival, a parade, a baseball game, many speeches, and a historical pageant. |
