Student Senate Commitment

Many high schools, primary schools, and universities in the United States have extracurricular student councils modeled after democratic governments where students will campaign for office positions such as president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The student body will vote on the candidates, and the elected officers of each year will complete specified or unspecified duties, such as planning school events, organizing fundraisers, and reforming school rules. The resulting student senate exists to serve the student body that elected them, committing to act in their interest.
