Additional Information | Uncle Jim was a popular radio host in the 1930s. His show was dubbed “The Kiddies Theater of the Air with Uncle Jim”. WFIL radio was a merger of two of Philadelphia’s early stations, WLIT (originally WDAR) owned by the Lit Brothers Department Store, and WFI owned by Strawbridge and Clothier. Before the merger, the two stations shared the same frequency. |
