Additional Information	Women’s Equality Day marks the anniversary of women winning the right to vote in the United States. Not only does August 26 mark the passing of the 19th Amendment, it also calls women throughout the U.S. to continue to work towards full equality in American society. The organization that sponsors this event, the National Women's History Project, works to put women back into American history by holding conferences and workshops that recognize the contributions of women throughout history.
