Considered to be one of the most iconic villains in popular culture, Darth Vader serves as the central antagonist of the original Star Wars trilogy. Serving the Emperor and the Galactic Empire, Darth Vader is a powerful wielder of the force who was originally Anakin Skywalker, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa. Despite having fallen to the dark side, it is Darth Vader's connection to Luke that ultimately allows him to find redemption just prior to his death in Return of the Jedi. The story of Anakin's adventures as a Jedi and his eventual transformation into Darth Vader are central to the overall story of the series, and is expanded upon further in the prequel series of films.

Additional Information

During the 1800’s French merchant ships were required to display at foremast specific flags indicating which administrative district they were registered in. The registration flag pictured here was used for colonies in the French West Indies.

As part of a collectible set this button is one of many created by Whitehead and Hoag Co. in the late 1800's for the American Pepsin Gum Co. as give-aways. Many gum manufactures in the late 1800's used pepsin powder in their chewing gum and marketed it as a way to aid in digestion.  Pepsin was thought to settle stomach issues and help people with digestive concerns.
