Additional Information

All Stars are yearly game formats in which the best or the most highly rated players compete against each other. All Star events are most strongly associated with the NBA, NHL, and MLB. In all three cases, players are chosen based on votes from the fans, players, coaches, and other organizational committees. Usually the two highest rated players become captains, and choose among the selected players for their All Star teams. Because all the players selected tend to be among the most highly skilled and the top point earners for their home teams, these events continue to remain highly sought after and popular.
