The Bill Clinton and Al Gore campaign partnership began during the 1992 Presidential election when they unseated incumbent President George Bush. Bush had alienated many in his party by raising taxes, causing his level of support to be lower. This allowed Clinton and Gore to secure the victory. They won re-election in 1996 against Republican challenger Bob Dole. They won this election by a fairly easy margin as the economy had rebounded from the recession under Bush during Clinton's administration.

During their shared time in office, Clinton and Gore accomplished much, such as fixing the economy that led to their 1996 victory. The duo is also remembered for helping expand protections to the environment and public health. This includes measures to strengthen the Safe Drinking Water Act, becoming tougher on air pollution and smog emissions and clean toxic waste sites.

William “Bill” Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States. Clinton was born on August 19th, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas. He became the Attorney General of Arkansas from 1977 to 1979, Governor of the same state from 1983 to 1992, and then the President from 1993 to 2001.

For his presidency, he wanted to end racial discrimination, continue the economic success, end big government, and boost education. Clinton did try to reform health care, but he was not successful. Expanding NATO and achieving a budget surplus are some of the accomplishments Clinton did achieve during his presidency.

In 1998, he was impeached in the House of Representatives, but found not guilty in the Senate. He publicly apologized for his private, extra-marital actions with Monica Lewinsky on national television, but his approval ratings did not go down.

On November 6, 2018, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley was elected to represent Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, making her the first woman of color to be elected to Congress from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Like many in her district, Congresswoman Pressley has endured numerous hardships throughout her life, and it is because of those experiences that she remains a dedicated activist who’s devoted to creating robust and informed policies that speak to the intersectionality of her district’s lived experiences.

In January 2018, Pressley announced her challenge to incumbent United States Representative Michael Capuano in the 2018 Democratic primary nomination for the Massachusetts's 7th congressional district. Pressley was endorsed by The Boston Globe and a local chapter of the hotel and electrical worker union, Grassroots movements including Democracy for America, Brand New Congress and the Justice Democrats supported Pressley. She campaigned with the slogan "change can't wait", and promised that she would bring "activist leadership." In the September 4, 2018, Democratic primary election, Pressley defeated Capuano by a margin of 59% to 41%. She won the general election unopposed.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, more commonly known simply as Borat, is a 2006 satirical mockumentary film co-written and produced by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. Cohen also plays the title character, Borat Sagdiyev, a fictitious Kazakh journalist traveling through the United States recording real-life interactions with Americans. Much of the film features unscripted vignettes of Borat interviewing and interacting with unsuspecting Americans who believe he is a foreigner with little or no understanding of American customs. The film was directed by Larry Charles and distributed by 20th Century Fox.

The film was very well received both critically and commercially; made for $18 million, it earned $262 million worldwide. However, controversy surrounded the film from two years prior to its release, and after the film's release, some cast members spoke against, and even sued, its creators. It was banned in almost all Arab countries, and the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan discouraged cinemas from showing it.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was an American born minister that was best known as the leader of the African-American Civil Rights Movement during the 1950's and 60's. King used nonviolent based methods, stemming from his background in the Baptist church, to lead a movement towards racial equality in the South and throughout the entire United States. King lead many marches, sit-in events, and demonstrations as an outcry to the United States to attempt to unite all Americans based off character and not color of skin. King wanted to demonstrate that people of all races could live together in peace and he dreamed of a day when this would be possible. King spoke of a day where racial justice would be for all and that all people would be seen as being created equal, though this was not the case in America during King's life. King was assassinated April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, four years after winning the Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality in a nonviolent manner.

Dating back to the 18th century, pralines have been synonymous with the French Quarter and their taste is uniquely linked to New Orleans. This sweet tradition was introduced to Louisiana by way of French settlers who sold these rich candies throughout the French quarter and competed for the title of best praline in the city. Pralines, with their distinct pecan flavor, were developed into a smooth, rich, mixable liqueur that is a great addition to many cocktails and recipes. Evangeline's Praline brand liqueur has two popular varieties. The Pearl of Praline combines Praline, coconut liqueur, cream, and a touch of nutmeg. Praline Original Pecan Liqueur has a rich nose of pralines, peanut butter and orange zest with decadent notes of cream, vanilla, praline and a touch of brown sugar.

Sazerac Company, Inc., the parent company of Evangeline's Praline Liqueur, was formed due to the work of Antoine Peychaud, a Creole immigrant, who operated a pharmacy on the French Quarter's Royal Street in 1838. With his background as an apothecary, he was a natural mixologist. Peychaud would mix brandy, absinthe and a dash of his secret bitters for his guests. Later this quaff would come to be known as the Sazerac cocktail and would lead to Peychaud opening a Royal Street bar in the name of Sazerac. The cocktail immediately spread in popularity at the city's finest coffee houses, which was the term for drinking establishments during the mid-1800s. However, the cocktail is most strongly associated with the wildly popular Sazerac Coffee House located on Exchange Alley. In 1850, the owner Sewell Taylor institutionalized the drink at his coffee house by using only Sazerac de Forge et Fils brandy, which he imported and sold exclusively. The Sazerac cocktail received its name from this coffee house, where it was most often imbibed.

From the bar, a company was born. In 1869, Thomas H. Handy purchased the Sazerac Coffeehouse and began to acquire and market brands of liquor. He bought out the rights to Peychaud's Bitters in 1873. In the 1890s his company began to bottle and market the Sazerac cocktail, now made with rye whiskey instead of brandy. In addition, the company operated the Sazerac Bar on Royal Street. Later, Handy's former secretary, C. J. O'Reilly, chartered the Sazerac Company. Ever since (except for a stint as a delicatessen and grocery vendor during Prohibition), the Sazerac Company has distilled an ever-increasing line of fine spirits. Today, they are still an independent, American family owned company and proud owners of many of America's distilling companies - Buffalo Trace Distillery, A. Smith Bowman, Glenmore Distillery, Barton, Fleischmann, Medley and Mr. Boston. On June 23, 2008, Louisiana Legislature immortalized the cocktail formerly known by the name Sazerac, as the Official Cocktail of New Orleans.
