Procter & Gamble began selling Pringles in 1967 under the name "Pringle's Newfangled Potato Chips." The moniker didn't stick around, but the chips did. In 2012 Pringles was the fourth most popular snack behind Lay's, Doritos and Cheetos.

Pringles is advertised in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Ireland with the slogan, "Once you pop, the fun don't stop" as well as the original slogan, "Once you pop, you can't stop." Pringles chips are sold in over 140 countries and due to cultural preferences, the chips come in a very wide variety of flavors. Notable regularly produced flavors are prawn cocktail, wasabi, curry, soft-shelled crab, grilled shrimp, and seaweed. There are also limited addition and seasonal flavors like ketchup, chili cheese dog, pizzalicious, Texas BBQ sauce, cheesy fries, onion blossom, mozzarella cheese stick, screamin' dill pickle, Mexican-layered dip, peppermint white chocolate, cinnamon sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.

Fredric Baur, the creator of the Pringles chips, told his family he wanted his cremated remains to be buried in a Pringles can, and his children honored those wishes. Baur's son told TIME magazine, "My siblings and I briefly debated what flavor to use... but I said, 'Look, we need to use the original.'"

Old Crow Bourbon was created by James Crow, a Scottish immigrant, in Frankfort, Kentucky in the early 1800s. After nearly a century of operations, the Old Crow Distillery closed in 1987 when Old Crow was acquired by Beam Suntory, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings. Following the merger, Old Crow Bourbon is produced from the same whiskey as Jim Beam Bourbon. However, to make Old Crow the whiskey is aged for less time so the resulting product has a lower proof.

There are many references to Old Crow in popular culture. The drink was reportedly a favorite of Mark Twain and Hunter S. Thompson.

Chevrolet’s 1975 commercial ad campaign praised, “Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet.” The jingle was written by Ed Labunski and went on to inspire several more commercials.

The enduring success of the campaign prompted Chevy to re-record the commercial in 2006, modernizing the line to, “Stolen Bases, Goat Cheese Pizza, Bottled Water and Chevrolet." A back and forth series of tributes to the campaign followed. A General Motors subsidiary recorded their own version. In Australia, the Holden Car company popularized the slogan, “Football, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars.” In South Africa, where Chevys were designed based on Holden Cars, the campaign extolled “Braaivleis, Rugby, Sunny Skies and Chevrolet” (Braaivleis is Afrikaans for grilled meat).

IXL Food Company from San Leandro, California, was a major canned meat products company that began in the 1950s. In 1960, IXL Italian Sauce Suprema won a gold medal at the California State Fair and Rome Industrial Exposition. In 1961, IXL was purchased and trademarked by Nalley’s Fine Foods out of Tacoma, Washington, which had been founded in 1918. IXL developed the "Mr. Icksel” character early on in the company’s history as an advertising campaign that helped consumers understand the pronunciation of the IXL brand. Although the company had changed hands from Nalley’s Fine Foods, the "Mr. Icksel” character stuck around with a new color scheme of black and red.
