John Ashton is an English musician, songwriter, composer, and record producer. He is best known as the guitarist for British post-punk band, the Psychedelic Furs. The Psychedelic Furs had several hit songs throughout the 1980’s, including “Pretty in Pink,” which was used by film director John Hughes in his 1986 film of the same name. Although the song inspired the movie, the Psychedelic Furs maintained that the movie Pretty in Pink had very little to do with their song’s original meaning. After the Psychedelic Furs went on hiatus in the early 1990’s, John Ashton began producing albums for other bands and recording solo music as part of the band Satellite Paradiso.

Now, even at age 75, Jimmy Page talks of a Led Zeppelin reunion, or even starting a new band.
